Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable API automation test suites using RestAssured and Java.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to define API specifications, validation criteria, and test scenarios.
Execute functional, regression, and performance API tests; analyze results and report actionable insights.
Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing.
Log, track, and drive defect resolution via JIRA; ensure high-quality releases.
Mentor and coach junior QA engineers on API testing best practices and automation frameworks.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

5+ years of hands-on experience in API automation testing using RestAssured or similar frameworks.
Strong programming skills in Java and familiarity with TestNG or JUnit.
Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) and version control systems (Git).

Preferred

Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and performance testing tools like JMeter.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and collaborative delivery practices.
