6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience

We are looking for a highly motivated Android TV Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have experience testing OTT streaming applications, with a strong grasp of Android TV platforms, debugging tools, and quality assurance processes. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable streaming applications across Android TV and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of OTT streaming applications on Android TV and mobile platforms to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
• Perform various types of testing including Functional, Sanity/Smoke, Regression, Exploratory, and Compatibility testing.
• Use ADB commands and Android Studio for app debugging and log analysis.
• Utilize Charles Proxy, Fiddler, or similar tools to intercept and analyze network traffic and API calls.
• Analyze application logs and crashes using Crash analytics tools.
• Use Postman to validate and test APIs.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on user stories and technical requirements.
• Report and track bugs in JIRA and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Create Test Reports and Quality Metrics and ensure proper documentation using tools like Confluence.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvements and ensure adherence to the SDLC/STLC and Agile Scrum methodology.

Tools & Technologies Required:

• Android Studio & ADB
• Charles Proxy / Fiddler (or equivalent)
• Postman
• Crash Analytics Tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry)
• JIRA, Confluence, X-Ray, ALM (or similar test management tools)

Good to Have (Added Advantage):

• Understanding of test automation on Android TV and Mobile Apps.
• Experience with automation tools/frameworks like Espresso, Selenium, Appium using Java, Kotlin, or Python.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC, testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Prior experience with Android TV application testing is highly preferred.
