Role Overview: As a member of the Legal & Compliance team at KPMG in India, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to various legal and compliance requirements across different sectors. Your role will involve tasks such as maintaining compliance checklists, conducting risk assessments, and staying updated on regulatory developments. Additionally, you will be required to handle client escalations, prepare reports for senior management, and liaise with different teams within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Strong knowledge of Legal & Compliance under different law categories, such as Labour laws, HSE, Admin, Secretarial, Finance, and sector-specific laws for different sectors - Conduct compliance risk assessments, reviews, and audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks across various sectors - Develop compliance checklists, manuals, policies, SOPs, and training materials - Implement compliance tools, oversee tool implementations for multiple clients, and monitor compliance tools on behalf of clients - Stay updated on statutory and regulatory developments, as well as best practices in compliance control - Manage teams, projects, client escalations, and serve as a single point of contact for multiple clients - Prepare reports for senior management and clients - Coordinate with different teams within the organization to manage multiple assignments Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, or a related field - Experience in handling legal and compliance matters, preferably in a professional services firm or corporate environment - Strong understanding of various compliance requirements and regulations - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously About KPMG in India: KPMG in India is a professional services firm affiliated with KPMG International Limited, operating since August 1993.
