AM/DM - Legal

• The Person will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of legal agreements and the management of active legal disputes.
• You will act as a primary safeguard for the company, ensuring that all contracts are legally compliant while representing the companys interests in court, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Further the person should be well versed with Civil Criminal Arbitration and IPR litigation and conducting IPR raids.
• Ability to handle the high pressure of court deadlines and litigation filings. Liasoning with government officials, police etc.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Management

• Drafting & Vetting

  : Create, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), NDAs, Vendor Contracts, Employment Agreements, and Licensing deals.

• Risk Mitigation

  : Identify potential legal and commercial risks in contract clauses and provide strategic advice to business teams.

• Advisory

  : Interpret complex contractual terms for non-legal stakeholders to ensure clear operational understanding.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

• Case Strategy:

  Research legal precedents and prepare comprehensive strategies for civil, criminal, IPR, commercial, or labor-related disputes.

• Legal Documentation

  : Draft legal notices, statements of claim, written submissions, affidavits, complaints, and appeals.

• Court Representation

  : Attend court hearings, tribunals, or arbitrations. Coordinate with external Senior Counsels when necessary.

• Settlement

  : Negotiate out-of-court settlements and mediation to resolve disputes efficiently and minimize costs.

Qualifications

• Education

  : LLB from a recognized university; active Bar Council/State Bar membership.

• Experience

  : 8-12 years in a law firm or in-house legal department.

• Research

  : Proficiency in legal databases (e.g., Manupatra / SCC Online).
