We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Transport Manager to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of geographical principles, and excellent analytical capabilities to optimize our transportation operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Management: o Lead, motivate, and develop a team of transport coordinators and drivers o Oversee scheduling, training, and performance management of transport staff o Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement 2. Geographical Knowledge Application: o Utilize extensive geographical understanding to optimize route planning and logistics o Analyze and improve transportation networks based on regional and local factors o Stay informed about geographical changes that may impact transport operations 3. Data Analysis and Reporting: o Develop and maintain comprehensive transportation analytics using Power BI o Create insightful dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators o Use analytical skills to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement 4. Stakeholder Management: o Collaborate effectively with internal departments, including operations, sales, and finance o Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies o Communicate complex transport data and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences 5. Strategic Planning and Optimization: o Develop and implement strategies to enhance transportation efficiency and costeffectiveness o Analyze market trends and competitor practices to maintain a competitive edge o Ensure compliance with relevant transportation laws and regulations. Requirements: o Proven experience in transport management or a related field o Demonstrated ability in team leadership and development. o Strong geographical knowledge, particularly in areas relevant to transportation and logistics o Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and analysis o Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. o Strong stakeholder management and communication skills o Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (master s preferred) Relevant certifications in transportation management are a plus.
