Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned AKS Architect to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments for enterprise-scale applications.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, container orchestration, and DevOps practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and manage AKS clusters for high availability and performance.
Define hybrid cloud reference architectures and target-state designs.
Lead infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or ARM templates.
Partner with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
Implement observability, logging, and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
Apply DevSecOps principles to enforce cloud security and compliance standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Optimize cloud resource utilization for performance and cost efficiency.
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
Proficiency with Azure Services – APIM, Cosmos DB, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (preferred) or ARM Templates.
CI/CD: GitLab Pipelines; exposure to MLFlow (for MLOps) preferred.
Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure-native monitoring tools.
Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer Expert.
Application architecture experience with .NET or Java design patterns.
Knowledge of .NET 8, React JS, and Cosmos DB is a plus.
Prior experience working in enterprise-scale, multi-team environments.
