Job Description

Role - AIX Administrator Years of Experience - 6 to 8 years Location - Pune AIX Hands On experience on managing AIX IBM P-series Infra Operations, AIX OS, troubleshooting of hardware and operating systems. AIX OS Installation, Upgrade, Management, LVM administration, user management, VIOS administration, Server restoration, SEA, NPIV, NIM, HMC. Good experience in Performance Tuning. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Support for BAU. Project Handling - Upgrades, Migration, New installations, ITIL processes, Production support. Certifications in relevant field are highly desirable. Relevant experience in managing IBM incidents Knowledge of service and systems delivery. Knowledge of latest storage communication protocols and standards Incident management, prepare Incident Report with chronology of steps undertaken towards resolution, Immediate fix, RCA and permanent remediation, if applicable. Arrange to implement best practices / permanent remediation to avoid repeat incidents; identify Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions for every incident Monitor performance AIX server Hardware and OS and take proactive actions wherever necessary Ensure adherence to SOP is followed for. Follow Change and Release management processes for planned activities in Datacenter. Update Knowledge Base and guide support team members to refer KB Track and manage vendor SLAs. Vulnerability management. Linux and VMware Should be able to perform day to day operation work, Incidents and Change requests Should be proactive and should have leadership Quality Should be able to handle serverity issues and escalations Should be flexible for 24*7 support Good Verbal and written communication Should be able to handover L2-L3 level task Show more Show less
