Airport Ground Staff

Airport ground staff play a key role in ensuring smooth airport operations and providing excellent customer service to passengers. They assist with check-in, boarding, baggage handling coordination, and general passenger support while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to airline and airport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Passenger Assistance

• Greet passengers and provide information regarding flights, schedules, and airport procedures
  
• Assist passengers with check-in, seat allocation, and issuing boarding passes
  
• Handle special needs passengers, including elderly, unaccompanied minors, and passengers requiring wheelchair assistance
  
• Resolve passenger concerns, delays, or booking issues calmly and professionally
  

Flight Operations Support

• Coordinate with cabin crew, ramp team, and air traffic personnel for on-time departures
  
• Announce boarding procedures and guide passengers at boarding gates
  
• Verify travel documents (passports, visas, permits) for compliance
  
• Assist with flight load sheets and documentation as required
  

Baggage & Security Coordination

• Oversee baggage drop-off processes, tagging, and transfers
  
• Coordinate with baggage handling teams to ensure timely loading/unloading
  
• Address lost baggage claims and trace missing items
  
• Ensure all procedures follow airport security guidelines
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; aviation or hospitality certificates a plus
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism
  
• Basic computer literacy (reservation systems experience preferred)
  
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  
• Physically fit for tasks that involve standing, walking, or light lifting
