AI Prompt Engineer

Role OverviewThe AI Prompt Engineer will design, optimize, and evaluate prompts for advanced generative AI systems. The candidate will collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to create high-quality outputs, automate workflows, and ensure scalable prompt-based solutions. The role requires proficiency with leading AI models and a strong understanding of natural language processing, data interpretation, and model behavior tuning.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, iterate, and optimize prompt strategies to improve accuracy, creativity, safety, and relevance of AI-generated outputs.Conduct systematic testing, evaluation, and documentation of prompt performance across multiple models.Collaborate with domain experts to understand requirements and translate them into prompt-based workflows or fine-tuned model specifications.Build internal libraries and frameworks for reusable prompt patterns, templates, and automation tools.Monitor model behavior, identify edge cases, mitigate errors, and ensure alignment with compliance and ethical guidelines.Train internal teams on prompt engineering best practices and emerging generative AI capabilities.Collaborate with AI researchers in evaluating new model releases and integrating them into existing systems.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, or a related field.Demonstrated experience working with major AI foundation models (e.g., OpenAI GPT-series, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Meta Llama, Stability AI Stable Diffusion, etc.).Strong understanding of NLP concepts, LLM architectures, and generative AI capabilities.Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using APIs and prompt-automation tooling.Excellent analytical and linguistic skills with attention to detail and output evaluation methodologies.Familiarity with responsible AI principles, hallucination mitigation, and content policy constraints.Preferred QualificationsExperience in fine-tuning or customizing LLMs using vector databases, RAG pipelines, or model-specific SDKs.Exposure to multimodal prompting (text-image-audio-video).Industry experience in AI-driven product development or conversational AI applications.Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, version control, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).Soft SkillsStrong communication and documentation abilities.Problem-solving mindset with structured experimental design discipline.Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and adapt to rapid technological advancements.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
