AGRI - Product Owner

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for agri-tech solutions.
  
• Align product development with market trends, user needs, and business goals.
  

• Understand agricultural cycles, crop patterns, weather dependencies, and market price dynamics.
  
• Collaborate with agri domain experts, FPOs, cooperatives, and government bodies.
  
• Translate agri business challenges into clear, actionable product features.
  
• Design solutions for farm management, agri marketplaces, advisory platforms, and supply chain optimization.
  

• Own and prioritize the product backlog.
  
• Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews.
  

• Liaise between agri-business teams, technical teams, and end-users.
  
• Gather feedback from field operations and incorporate it into product iterations.
  
• Present demos to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  

• Track KPIs such as adoption rate, farmer engagement, and transaction volumes.
  
• Analyze usage data and feedback to continuously improve the product.
  

Qualifications Skills

• Bachelor s degree in IT, Agriculture, Agri-Tech, or related field (MBA preferred).
  
• 3+ years of product owner/manager experience, with at least 1 year in the

  agri-tech/agriculture domain

  .
• Strong knowledge of agriculture value chains, farming practices, and agri-business models.
  
• Experience working with rural or semi-urban users.
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred

• Experience with mobile-first rural tech solutions.
  
• Knowledge of IoT devices, weather APIs, or GIS mapping in agriculture.
  
• Understanding of schemes like eNAM, PM-KISAN, and FPO operations.
