AGM Category Manager API Procurement

As an Assistant General Manager (AGM) / Deputy General Manager (DGM) Category Manager in API Procurement, your role involves the procurement of active ingredients for commercial manufacturing across multiple sites and markets. You will be responsible for managing the PR > PO > GR > settlement cycle for an annual spend base of approximately Rs 1000 crore. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing procurement strategies and actively participating in negotiations, contracting, ordering, delivery, and settlement processes. - Contributing to annual budget planning, tracking due dates, renewals, and preparing procurement strategies in advance. - Managing risks, optimizing spending, and achieving cost excellence. - Taking ownership of the spend category and ensuring consistency in delivery, cost savings, de-risking, and continuous improvements. - Collaborating with key stakeholders across functions and actively addressing quality, delivery, cost, and compliance concerns. Additionally, you will be required to adhere to purchasing policies, procedures, statutory, and regulatory compliance guidelines. Qualifications required for this position: - Graduate or Postgraduate degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or chemical engineering. - PGDMM or MBA in Pharma, Operations, or Supply Chain. - Minimum of 15 years of experience, with 8 to 9 years in a similar role within a large, complex organization.,
