Role Overview: As the Advanced Manufacturing Manager at ABB, you will lead a function focused on optimizing the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment. Your main responsibility will be to develop and implement manufacturing processes and strategies to meet business objectives and new product development. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally, you will evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and methods to improve manufacturing efficiency and capability. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement manufacturing processes and strategies to meet business objectives and new product development. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. - Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and methods to improve manufacturing efficiency and capability. - Manage capital expenditure (capex) budgeting, allocation, recording, monitoring, and optimization. - Utilize simulation software such as AutoCAD, FlexSim to model and simulate assembly line processes. - Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, optimize workflow, and improve overall efficiency. - Conduct value stream mapping and process analysis to identify opportunities for improvement. - Optimize people and materials flow, area utilization, and workstation design to enhance efficiency and productivity. - Lead initiatives to improve overall productivity and efficiency within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications Required: - University degree in Engineering degree, (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). Masters degree preferred. - Minimum 12-15 years of hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing, layout development, simulation, or related fields of digitalization. - Knowledge of Industry 4.0 or 5.0 and strong experience in layout development and optimization required. - Proficiency in using AutoCAD and/or Revit. - Proficiency in simulation software such as AutoCAD, FlexSim or similar tools. - Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and their application in layout design and process optimization preferred. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement. - Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead change initiatives.,
