Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing the performance and reliability of our electric distribution grid. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies and analytical techniques to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer service, and support the integration of renewable energy sources. Requirements Responsibilities: Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive models of the electric distribution grid within the ADMS platform. Conduct power flow studies, fault location, isolation, and service restoration (FLISR) analyses, and other engineering studies using ADMS tools. Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement in grid reliability, efficiency, and resiliency. Develop and implement strategies for grid modernization, including integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar PV, wind, and battery storage. Support the development and implementation of grid automation solutions, such as automated switching and voltage control. Conduct thorough testing and validation of ADMS models, configurations, and applications to ensure accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, operations personnel, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and operation of ADMS applications. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ADMS technologies and industry best practices. Provide technical support and training other team members on the use of ADMS tools and applications. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of experience working with ADMS systems (e.g., Hitachi, Siemens, ABB, GE). Strong understanding of power system fundamentals, including power flow, fault analysis, and protection coordination. Proficiency in using power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerWorld). Experience with SCADA systems and communication protocols. Experience in testing and validating ADMS models, configurations, and applications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field. Experience with distributed energy resources (DERs) and their integration into the grid. Knowledge of grid automation technologies, such as automated switching and voltage control. Experience with data analytics and machine learning techniques.
