Admissions Officer – Balsam Academy, Full-Time, Location: Ranipet, Tamil Nadu, India

Position Overview:

Balsam Academy is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to oversee the student admissions process. This is a key role in shaping the first impressions of our school by engaging with prospective families, evaluating applications, and ensuring a seamless enrollment experience, all while adhering to CBSE and State regulations.

As the first point of contact, you will guide families through the admissions process, managing everything from enquiries to final enrollment, ensuring the process runs smoothly and efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing, dynamic institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Admission Process Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain admission policies in line with CBSE and State guidelines.
• Oversee the full admissions lifecycle: inquiry, application review, eligibility assessment, and final enrollment.
• Act as the primary contact for prospective parents and students, answering questions and providing support.

Application & Document Management:

• Maintain accurate records of all applicants and their documents.
• Ensure all required materials (transcripts, supporting documents, etc.) are collected and organized.
• Communicate with applicants regarding missing information or next steps.

Admission Decisions & Enrollment:

• Evaluate applications and make informed admission recommendations.
• Prepare documentation for newly admitted students.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Track and analyse admissions data: number of applicants, enrollment trends, and demographics.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve the admissions process.

Relationship Management:

• Build positive relationships with parents, students, and other external stakeholders.
• Address enquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Marketing & Outreach:

• Collaborate with the communications team to develop marketing campaigns for admissions.
• Represent the school at open houses, educational fairs, and community events.
• Build partnerships with feeder schools and local networks to increase outreach.

Withdrawal & Feedback Process:

• Manage the withdrawal process for students and ensure compliance with school policies.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
• Prior experience in school admissions, student recruitment, or related roles (preferably in a CBSE school).
• Strong understanding of CBSE admission procedures and compliance.
• Additional qualifications in Marketing or Communications are a plus.
