Position: Head New Admissions (for 7 + Business Units) / Head Admissions & Parent Acquisition Reports To: Sr Vice President Location: Mumbai Department: Sales & Admissions Role Overview The Head – New Admissions will be responsible for driving and executing the school’s student acquisition strategy. The role demands strong leadership, analytical acumen, and operational excellence to ensure sustained growth in admissions across campuses. This individual will lead a team of Counselors, Pre Sales, BDMs, and other field executives and will be accountable for team performance, training, data accuracy, and strategic expansion planning. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Strategy and Planning * Develop and implement comprehensive admission strategies aligned with organizational goals. * Identify new catchment areas, market segments, and partnerships to boost admissions. * Translate business objectives into executable sales plans for each region or school. 2. Data Management and Analytics * Ensure robust lead data capture, tracking, and reporting using CRM tools. * Analyse lead conversion data, performance metrics, and market trends to derive insights. * Build dashboards and reports to inform leadership on pipeline health, ROI, and forecasts. 3. Performance Monitoring & Team Management * Set admission targets and KPIs for teams across locations. * Monitor counselor and BDM performance regularly; intervene where required to improve productivity. * Conduct regular performance reviews and build accountability frameworks. 4. Counselor Training & Conversion Optimization * Conduct skill-gap analyses and deliver structured training to enhance counselor capabilities. * Implement best practices and scripts for parent engagement and conversion. * Shadow, mentor, and coach team members to improve closing ratios. 5. Budgeting and Resource Allocation * Prepare and monitor the annual admissions budget, including marketing spends, manpower, and incentives. * Evaluate ROI of campaigns and reallocate resources as needed to maximize efficiency. 6. Customer Relationship Management * Oversee the end-to-end parent experience from inquiry to enrollment. * Ensure timely follow-ups, effective communication, and high-touch engagement strategies. * Resolve escalated parent concerns with professionalism and empathy. 7. Market Intelligence & Competition Benchmarking * Track competitor schools’ offerings, pricing, and marketing efforts. * Provide insights to the marketing and academic teams for differentiation and positioning. 8. Cross-functional Collaboration * Work closely with the marketing team for lead generation campaigns and events. * Partner with academic and operations teams to ensure alignment in school readiness and delivery expectations. * Share periodic updates, parent feedback, and competitive intelligence to guide overall strategy. 9. Historical Trend Analysis & Strategic Planning * Conduct in-depth analysis of lead generation, school visits, and admissions data from past academic years. * Identify patterns across channels (online/offline), lead quality, conversion bottlenecks, and seasonality. * Evaluate the effectiveness of previous campaigns, outreach efforts, and counselor performance. * Use insights to refine admission strategies, optimize resource allocation, and design targeted action plans for the upcoming academic year. * Collaborate with marketing and field teams to shift focus toward high-conversion geographies, demographics, and lead sources. Key Requirements * Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields. * 8–12 years of experience in Sales, preferably in the Education or Service sector. * Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Leadsquare etc) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. * Strong analytical thinking and ability to make data-driven decisions. * Proven experience in team leadership, performance management, and training delivery. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven, and customer-centric environment.
