Job Title: Admission CounsellorJob Summary:The Admission Counsellor will serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding and supporting them throughout the admissions process. This role involves providing detailed information about academic programs, eligibility criteria, and admission requirements, assisting with application completion, and promoting the institution through recruitment events and personalized counseling sessions. Key Responsibilities:Provide accurate information to prospective students and their families about programs, admission criteria, eligibility, and career opportunities. Guide students through the application process including reviewing and assisting in the completion of admission forms and submission of required documents. Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand students’ educational goals, background, and preferences. Organize and participate in recruitment initiatives such as campus tours, orientation programs, open houses, and college fairs. Screen and interview applicants, review applications for accuracy, and provide feedback to improve application quality. Maintain and update student interaction records in CRM or databases to track admissions progress. Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet enrollment targets and enhance student recruitment strategies. Stay informed about industry trends, course offerings, financial aid options, and admission policies. Address queries and provide ongoing support to prospective students and parents through various communication channels including phone, email, and live chat. Assist in developing communication strategies and promotional materials to attract diverse student populations. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience in admissions counseling, education consulting, or a related customer-facing role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage deadlines efficiently. Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office suite, and familiarity with online application portals. Knowledge of academic programs, admission processes, and financial aid policies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy and active listening abilities.
