Job descriptionThe Admission Counsellor plays a key role in guiding prospective students through the admission process. The primary responsibility is to engage with prospective students, provide information about academic programs, assist with application procedures, and ensure a smooth admission experience. The counsellor acts as a representative of the institution, promoting its programs and values while addressing the needs of applicants. Key Responsibilities: Student Counselling: Counsel prospective students and their families on academic programs, admission requirements, financial aid, and career outcomes. Guide students in selecting suitable courses/programs based on their interests and qualifications. Application Support: Assist students with the application process, ensuring they submit accurate and complete documentation. Follow up on inquiries, applications, and enrollment processes. Outreach and Promotion: Conduct information sessions, webinars, and campus tours to promote the institution. Represent the institution at educational fairs, school visits, and other outreach events. Communication: Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries from prospective students and their families. Maintain accurate records of student interactions in the CRM system. Collaboration: Coordinate with academic departments, finance, and student services to provide comprehensive support to applicants. Work with the marketing team on outreach campaigns. Target Achievement: Meet or exceed enrollment targets as set by the institution. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 6 months – 3 years of experience in admissions, student counselling, or related roles (preferred). Strong knowledge of academic programs and admission processes. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. Preferred Skills: Experience in student recruitment or education marketing. Multilingual abilities.
