Position: ADAS safety management (TT78ST RM 3794)

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage functional safety activities for ADAS/AD projects as per ISO 26262
• Develop and execute Safety Plans, Safety Cases, and Safety Assessment Reports
• Conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) for ADAS functions
• Perform SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality) analysis per ISO 21448
• Define and manage safety requirements (FSR, TSR, HSR, SSR) across ASIL levels
• Conduct safety analyses – FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA
• Lead Functional Safety Audits and Assessments (FSA, DIA)
• Ensure compliance with safety standards throughout product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and validation teams
• Manage safety anomalies, deviations, and change impact assessments
• Interface with customers and third-party assessors for safety sign-offs
• Mentor and guide junior safety engineers
  

Education : B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science or equivalentExp : 7-8 years in Functional Safety / ADAS Safety domainCore Standards : ISO 26262 (all parts), ISO 21448 (SOTIF)Safety Expertise : HARA, Safety Goals, ASIL decomposition, Safety MechanismsAnalysis Methods : FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA, Markov AnalysisDomain : ADAS systems – Camera, Radar, Lidar, Sensor Fusion, AD ControllersCertifications : TÜV Functional Safety Engineer (preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SOTIF analysis – triggering conditions, functional insufficiencies
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434, UN R155/R156)
• Exposure to ASPICE processes and assessments
• Experience with Model-Based Development (MATLAB/Simulink)
• Familiarity with safety-certified RTOS and AUTOSAR
• Understanding of hardware diagnostics and safety mechanisms
• Experience with safety tools – Medini Analyze, Ansys medini, IBM DOORS, Polarion
• Knowledge of homologation requirements (UN R79, R131, R152, FMVSS)
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
