Job Description

 
The Ziff Davis CNET Groups Ad Operations team is looking for a detail-oriented Ad Operations Associate to provide essential support. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our ad campaign tracking and reporting processes. You will serve as the primary operational support, taking ownership of a variety of daily, time-intensive tasks that currently consume a significant amount of the teams time. By handling these operational duties, you will free up senior team members to focus on high-value, revenue-generating work and key accounts.
This position reports directly to the Sr Director of Operations and works closely with Ad Operations and Client Strategy . This is a remote position , with a standard Working Hours Shift timing (EST/CST/ PST) business schedule and no travel required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign and Data Tracking: Update and maintain daily campaign trackers.
  • Data Reconciliation: Conduct daily breakdowns of First-Party (1P), Third-Party (3P), and Private Marketplace (PMP) data.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track session and impression data, flagging any significant discrepancies or anomalies (too high/low) to the Ad Operations team for review.
  • Line Item Management: Assist with line item mapping and end-of-month (EOM) closing processes, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and offload tedious operational tasks to improve team efficiency.
Job Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail: A proven ability to meticulously review data and processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: The ability to work with numbers, identify trends, and make sense of data from various sources.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive in identifying data inconsistencies and capable of flagging potential issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Reliability: Highly dependable with a strong sense of ownership over tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear and concise in written and verbal communication with team members.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple daily tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • Education: Bachelors degree.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a data-heavy or operational support role is preferred. Previous experience in digital media, advertising, or ad operations is a plus.
Skills/Tools: Required Knowledge of Tools and Experience
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Power BI/ Tableau are preferred.
