Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Intern, your primary responsibility will be to support the Accounts Payable team in managing various tasks related to processing and recording financial transactions. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a corporate finance environment, develop a solid understanding of key financial processes, and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a finance department.

Roles and Responsibilities

Invoice Processing : Assist in the review and verification of invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure they are coded correctly.
Payment Processing :Help prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.Assist in preparing checks for mailing and distribution.
Record Keeping : Ensure all financial documentation is accurately filed and maintained.Assist in the preparation of accounts payable reports and other documentation as needed
Reconciliation : Assist in the reconciliation of vendor statements and correct any discrepancies.Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
