Position: Deputy Manager – Accounts Payable

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deputy Manager – Accounts Payable to oversee and manage all aspects of vendor payments and related financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, vendor management, and process control within a manufacturing setup, preferably in the textile industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the complete Accounts Payable function ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Review and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment terms.
• Handle vendor reconciliation and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Monitor GR/IR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) and coordinate with procurement and stores teams for closures.
• Ensure timely processing of vendor payments, advances, and adjustments.
• Prepare and monitor aging reports, ensuring no overdue payables.
• Maintain accurate records of TDS, GST input credits, and other statutory compliances related to payments.
• Support internal and statutory audits by providing necessary data and documentation.
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to improve process efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and finance teams for smooth workflow.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting related to payable commitments.
• Review and approve expense claims and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives in the payable function.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce or Accounting (CA Inter/MBA Finance preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation (TDS/GST), and vendor management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume transactions with accuracy.
• Prior experience in manufacturing industry, preferably textiles, is highly desirable.
