Job Title: Accountant Location: Puducherry Department: Finance & Accounts Reports To: Manager Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting tasks. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments. Monitor internal controls and suggest improvements. Liaise with auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
