Accounts Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Assistant Location: Kolar / Bangalore, India Job Type: Full-time Department: Finance & Accounts Experience Required: 1–3 years Reporting To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our accounting team in managing daily financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of accounting principles and a passion for accuracy in handling financial records. Key Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining day-to-day financial records, including bookkeeping and ledger management Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment follow-ups, and reconciliations Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements Help maintain accurate records of financial transactions in compliance with company policies Process bank reconciliations and vendor payments Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors regarding financial queries Assist in the preparation of GST returns, TDS filing, and other statutory compliance Maintain and organize financial documentation and records Support audits and provide necessary documentation as needed Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles Knowledge of Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software is a plus Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting formulas Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Good communication skills in English (written and verbal) Compensation: Competitive salary as per industry standards
