Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Pune. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with GST procedural requirements, maintaining accurate entries for audits, and corresponding with tax authorities. Daily tasks include preparing and filing returns, reconciling financial statements, supporting refund claims, and assisting in audits and preventive visits. The role also involves liaising with legal professionals where necessary, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with indirect taxation standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GST compliance, tax filings, input tax credit, and indirect taxation procedures
• Skills in financial record-keeping, reconciliation, and preparation for audits
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and relevant tools
• Understanding of export/import procedures and related schemes like Software Technology Parks
• Ability to draft financial reports, maintain accuracy in entries, and correspond with regulatory authorities
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in coordination with legal professionals and government departments is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage
