Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and tax regulations. This role requires a proactive approach to managing day-to-day financial operations, along with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring accurate record-keeping as per Indian accounting standards.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all payments and receipts are correctly recorded.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • GST & Tax Compliance: Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, Income Tax returns, and ensure compliance with the latest tax regulations, including TDS, GST, and other statutory filings.
  • TDS Management: Calculate, deduct, and remit Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) as per the applicable rates and ensure timely payment to the government.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations of financial records.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure the integrity of financial data through strong internal controls and by adhering to financial policies and procedures.
  • Financial Software Management: Utilize accounting software tally to process financial transactions and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, Income Tax, and other relevant Indian financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Tally and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Good understanding of tax compliance, including GST and TDS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of statutory audits and tax audits in India.
  • Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or services.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Saturday 09:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during financial year-end, GST filing periods, or audit season.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
