Accountant

Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in hospital billing and financial operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing billing cycles, reconciling accounts, coordinating with insurance providers, and ensuring financial compliance in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end hospital billing processes, including IPD/OPD billing, TPA, and cash/credit settlements. Verify and process insurance claims, liaising with TPAs and ensuring timely approvals. Prepare and reconcile daily cash/credit/insurance reports and submit to management Maintain accounts receivable/payable and ensure proper posting of transactions in accounting systems Coordinate with the finance department for monthly closing, audits, and compliance requirements. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, statutory compliance (GST, TDS), and accounting standards. Support management with MIS reports, budgeting, and financial forecasting. Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with patients/insurance providers for timely clearance Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial records in line with hospital policies. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Minimum 3 years of hospital billing/accounting experience is mandatory. Strong knowledge of hospital billing software and TPA/insurance processes. Hands-on experience with Tally, MS Excel, and other accounting tools. Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in healthcare. Strong communication skills for dealing with patients, TPAs, and hospital staff. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
