Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations, especially related to import-export transactions and GST. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and basic knowledge of international trade documentation. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts. Prepare and manage financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements. basic knowledge of Handling import-export documentation including shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, and BOE (Bill of Entry). Monitor and manage foreign currency transactions and bank documentation for international trade. Ensure accurate GST computation and filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.). Reconcile GST returns with books and ensure timely payment of taxes. Coordinate with customs, freight forwarders, and CHA (Custom House Agents) as needed. Assist in internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience in accounting with a focus on import-export and GST. Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws, especially GST compliance. Familiarity with international trade laws and export-import procedures.(basic knowledge) Proficiency in accounting software Tally. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Good communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in GST or Import-Export Management is an advantage. Experience working in an export-import trading company or manufacturing setup dealing with international clients.
