Accountant

As an Accountant at Gopinath Jewellers, located in Agartala, Silchar, and Karimganj, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and overseeing daily accounting operations. Your role will require strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management within the retail or jewellery industry. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as ensuring timely filing of GST, TDS, and other tax returns in compliance with local tax laws. You will also coordinate with auditors, conduct inventory and stock valuation, and assist in financial planning and decision-making while maintaining the confidentiality and security of financial data. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the jewellery or retail sector. You should have a strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and other financial regulations, as well as proficiency in Tally or other accounting software. Excellent numerical, analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
