JOB PROFILE: Accountant

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

 Maintain accurate and timely records of all project-related financial transactions.

 Verify and manage bills, vouchers, and receipts.

Financial Reporting:

 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

 Provide necessary financial statements to the donor (Vedanta) on time.

Banking & Fund Management:

 Operate project bank accounts, issue cheques, and handle bank reconciliation.

 Support Producer Organizations (POs) and women’s groups in account-related matters.

Audit & Compliance:

 Prepare required documents and reports for internal and external audits.

 Ensure that all financial processes comply with organizational and legal standards.

Budget & Expenditure Management:

 Assist in preparing annual/project-wise budgets.

 Regularly monitor project expenditures and income, ensuring timely reporting.

Team & Capacity Building Support:

 Guide team members and women’s cooperatives on bookkeeping and financial literacy.

 Ensure financial transparency and discipline.

Digital Records & Documentation:

 Maintain financial data on digital platforms (MIS/Dashboard).

 Keep all financial records organized and securely stored.

SKILLS:

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

 Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and digital MIS systems.

 Knowledge of audit, banking, and donor reporting processes.

 Ability to work with teams and ensure timely reporting.

 Strong commitment to integrity and financial transparency.

 Sensitivity towards women’s livelihood projects and rural development work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent

 Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in accounting/finance (experience in NGO/CSR projects preferred).

LOCATION: The position will be based on EMPBindi International Association, District Bokaro, Jharkhand, India

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
