Job Description

Job Title: Accountant – Retail Store Location: Kanpur Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the financial operations of our retail stores. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling day-to-day accounting tasks including cash tally, reporting, GST filing, e-invoicing, and other financial procedures necessary for smooth store operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily cash tally and ensure accuracy in cash handling. Maintain and reconcile accounts using Tally or other accounting software. Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. Handle e-invoicing and ensure proper documentation. Manage GST filings, returns, and compliance with government regulations. Keep track of expenses, payments, and receipts. Assist with audits and ensure proper record keeping. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers regarding payments and invoices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, books, and reports. Handle other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the management. Requirements: Prior experience in accounting, preferably in retail operations. Working knowledge of Tally software. Understanding of GST filing, e-invoicing, and compliance procedures. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks. Good communication and organizational skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Excel. Benefits: Fixed monthly salary of ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 based on experience. Opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment.
