Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant cum Administrator to manage the financial operations and administrative activities of our academy. The ideal candidate should have experience in educational institutions and be capable of handling student-related accounts, admissions support, and general office management.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day financial transactions of the academy.
  • Manage student fee collection, receipt issuance, and fee follow-ups.
  • Record and reconcile petty cash, bank transactions, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, expense reports, and budget summaries.
  • Handle staff payroll, attendance-based payments, and statutory deductions.
  • Coordinate with auditors and ensure proper documentation for audits.
  • Maintain accounts for purchases, vendor payments, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and academy policies.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage the front desk operations including student inquiries, admissions documentation, and record maintenance.
  • Maintain student databases, attendance records, and academic files.
  • Handle communication with parents, students, and staff through emails, calls, and notices.
  • Prepare administrative reports, circulars, and communication letters.
  • Manage office supplies, classroom materials, and vendor coordination.
  • Support scheduling of classes, exams, events, and meetings.
  • Assist HR tasks including staff attendance, leave records, and onboarding files.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the academy.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
  • Experience working in a school/academy/training institute (preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks/ERP) and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of fee management systems or ERP for educational institutions.
  • Experience in handling parent/student communication.
  • Familiarity with basic HR processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
