Job Description

Apex is a growing transportation and logistics support company providing back-office solutions for a North America–based freight hauling and cross-border trucking operation serving Canada and the United States. As part of our expansion, we are hiring a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team in India and support our North American accounting operations.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting and finance operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in the transportation or logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Prepare and process driver settlements, trip sheets, and fuel expenses.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company accounts regularly.
  • Verify and record invoices, payments, and vendor statements accurately.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets and ledgers for billing and expense tracking.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Communicate with Canadian/US accounting teams for financial data coordination.
  • Support the preparation of reports for management and auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and regional financial regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (transportation/logistics industry preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and data entry skills with high accuracy.
  • Good understanding of North American accounting and tax concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Work Schedule:

  • Must be available to align with North American time zones (EST/CST/PST shifts as required).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
