We’re Hiring: Accountant
Location: Calicut

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations with accuracy and professionalism. This role offers a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who is skilled in accounting practices such as bookkeeping, GST, Tally, financial reporting, and day-to-day account management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bookkeeping
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
o Record daily transactions in the accounting system.
2. Daily Transaction Management
o Monitor and track daily financial activities.
o Ensure all transactions are documented and processed correctly.
3. Vendor Payment Management
o Process payments to vendors and suppliers as per agreed terms.
o Verify and validate vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
4. Customer Transaction Handling
o Manage and record customer payments and receipts.
o Resolve any discrepancies related to customer transactions in a timely manner.
5. Bank Reconciliation
o Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
o Ensure bank transactions match company records and resolve any discrepancies.
6. Cash Book Maintenance
o Maintain the cash book to accurately reflect all cash-related transactions.
o Record daily cash inflows and outflows, ensuring accuracy in the cash balance.
7. Payment Verification
o Verify payments made by customers, vendors, and other parties.
o Cross-check payment details and ensure compliance with company policies.
8. GST Filing
o Calculate and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in compliance with applicable laws.
o Ensure timely and accurate submission of GST filings.
9. TDS Payment Management
o Ensure timely and accurate payment of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS).
o Calculate TDS amounts based on applicable rates and company policies.
10. TDS Filing
o File TDS returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
o Reconcile TDS payments and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
11. Financial Reporting and Documentation
o Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and other required documentation.
o Assist in preparing periodic financial reports for management review.
12. Compliance and Taxation
o Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and tax regulations.
o Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to accounting, taxation, and finance.
13. Audit Support
o Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and records.
o Ensure all financial records are audit-ready and meet required standards.
Requirements
Preferred: Zoho Books (Tally also acceptable)
Proficient in Google sheets, MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Accounting principles and Standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
