Job Title: SMSF Accountant Location: Vadodara Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday to Saturday) Week Offs: 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday off Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMSF Accountant with experience in self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs). The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements and tax returns, conducting audits in compliance with the SIS Act and the Income Tax Act of Australia, and liaising with clients and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Financial Statements and Tax Returns for SMSFs in accordance with the SIS Act and Australian Income Tax Act . Perform SMSF audits to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and prepare relevant audit reports and letters. Report any SIS Act contraventions to the ATO that may impact members or beneficiaries of the fund. Provide trustees with Management Letters or Audit Finalisation Reports , highlighting audit findings and recommending improvements. Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) including GST returns. Conduct in-depth research on technical and legislative issues . Handle end-to-end client work , including compliance and tax planning. Advise clients on SMSF administration and operational matters , such as fund establishment, trustee/member additions, and asset valuation. Provide guidance on in-house asset rules , and advise on contribution limits in light of changes to superannuation guarantee levels. Manage fund transfers or rollovers into or out of SMSFs, post client decision. Communicate with ATO, ASIC, and OSR regarding various client matters including tax, audits, and SMSF issues. Education & Qualifications: ACCA, Inter CA (not pursuing further studies), CMA Inter, CMA Final (not pursuing further studies) or other relevant accounting qualifications. BCom/MCom candidates with relevant experience or additional qualifications may also be considered. Experience: Minimum 1 year of SMSF experience is required. Proven background in accounting, auditing, and taxation . Skills: Strong analytical, organizational , and problem-solving abilities. Good to average communication skills are essential.
