Job Title: Accountant
Location: Initially Remote, Willing to Relocate to Chennai

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable and flexible Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting and a proactive approach to administrative support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in all kind of accounting activities. They must be open to learning UK accounting practices, have excellent communication skills, and be a strong team contributor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage invoices, track payments, and handle follow-ups
• Assist the senior accountant in all tasks related to accounting
• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records
• Use and manage tools like RotaCloud for scheduling and attendance
• Support general admin tasks, documentation, and coordination as required
• Maintain and reconcile financial records, ledgers, and bank statements
• Assist in preparing reports, financial statements, and audit documents
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and financial regulations
• Collaborate closely with teams to support operational and finance needs
• Learn and assist with UK accounting processes and systems

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Postgraduate degree in Commerce or Finance (M.Com, MBA Finance, or equivalent)
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, and administrative functions
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills
• Willingness to learn UK-based accounting practices
• Team-oriented, organized, and flexible to handle diverse admin responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to global accounting or international finance
• Familiarity with Indian tax systems – GST, TDS
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus

Other Details:

• Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
• Work Mode: Initially remote; candidate should be willing to relocate to Chennai
