BlackPapers is a fast-growing legal-tech and compliance consulting company helping Indian startups, MSMEs, and NGOs manage their taxation, accounting, and regulatory requirements. We provide expert services backed by a professional team of CAs, CSs, and legal advisors. As we expand our operations, we are looking for an Accounts Executive to join our in-house finance team and streamline bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance processes.


Role Overview:


As an Accounts Executive, your core responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks, handle reconciliations, process payroll, and support GST/TDS compliance. You will work closely with our CA and compliance teams to maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure all timelines are met efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:


Bookkeeping & Entries:


  • Maintain real-time financial records using QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
  • Post entries for sales, purchases, expenses, payments, and journals
  • Manage documentation of invoices, vendor payments, and receipts


Bank & Ledger Reconciliation:


  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile vendor/customer ledgers, highlight mismatches, and take corrective actions


Payroll & Compliance:


  • Prepare and process monthly payroll with all deductions (PF, ESI, advances, bonuses)
  • Handle statutory compliance filings: TDS, GST, PF, ESI (monthly and quarterly)
  • Coordinate with CA for GST/TDS filings and ROC-related financials


Reporting & Coordination:


  • Assist in preparing MIS reports, cash flows, outstanding payables, and receivables
  • Help with internal audits and documentation during financial closings
  • Support inter-department coordination (HR, Legal, Admin)


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s in Commerce / Finance / Accounting (B.Com preferred)
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in an accounts role
  • Mandatory: Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, and ESI regulations and calculations
  • Familiarity with Tally / Zoho Books is a bonus
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas)
  • Organized, deadline-oriented, and trustworthy with confidential data
