Job Description

1. Strategic & Academic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a clear academic strategy aligned with global standards.
  • Promote research, innovation, and knowledge creation.
  • Update and modernize curriculum to meet industry and global needs.
  • Encourage a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and intellectual freedom.

2. Institutional Growth & External Relations

  • Build partnerships with international universities, industries, and government bodies.
  • Represent University at national and international forums.
  • Strengthen alumni relations and enhance the university’s reputation.
  • Promote entrepreneurship, research, and talent development.

3. Governance & Leadership Development

  • Work with the Chairman and Governing Bodies to ensure transparent governance.
  • Support faculty development and leadership programs.
  • Recruit and retain top faculty and researchers.
  • Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE, and accreditation standards.

4. Student-Centric Development

  • Create an environment for overall student growth and success.
  • Strengthen student support, mental well-being, and employability programs.
  • Provide more opportunities for internships, placements, and global exposure.
  • Encourage student innovation through incubation and entrepreneurship programs.

5. Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage finances effectively to ensure growth and sustainability.
  • Raise funds through grants, partnerships, alumni, and CSR initiatives.
  • Oversee infrastructure development as per the university’s vision.
  • Maintain balance between cost efficiency and quality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ph.D. in Management or Engineering (mandatory) from a top institute (IITs, IIMs, IISc, or equivalent).
  • 25+ years of academic or institutional leadership experience.
  • Experience in academic governance, institution building, and international collaboration.
  • Preferred age: 50–60 years.
