Job Overview

The Xray Technician position is a full-time, mid-level role located in Jamnagar, requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment within a leading healthcare organization, utilizing cutting-edge radiology equipment and delivering high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications And Skills

  • X-ray Imaging (Mandatory skill): Prior expertise in performing precise and high-quality x-ray imaging for diagnostic and clinical purposes in a hospital setting.
  • Radiology Equipment Operation (Mandatory skill): Substantial hands-on experience in independently operating and troubleshooting various radiology imaging devices.
  • Radiation Safety (Mandatory skill): In-depth knowledge and implementation of radiation protection protocols to ensure patient, self, and staff safety.
  • Digital Radiography: Proficiency in digital imaging techniques, including processing, editing, and archiving radiographic images according to hospital protocols.
  • PACS: Competence in using Picture Archiving and Communication System for the storage, retrieval, and distribution of medical images and reports.
  • Patient Communication: Ability to clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, addressing any anxieties and ensuring cooperation for accurate imaging results.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in recording patient data, labeling images, and adhering to clinical standards to prevent errors and maintain data integrity.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring seamless coordination with radiologists and other staff members for efficient service delivery.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality x-ray examinations as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards at all times.
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment, performing routine checks to ensure optimal functioning and promptly reporting any malfunctions.
  • Implement rigorous radiation protection measures for patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining accurate exposure records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain processes, and monitor their well-being throughout the procedure for optimal patient experience and comfort.
  • Manage digital images, review results for accuracy, and enter data into PACS for prompt access and review by physicians and clinical teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of all radiographic images and patient files in accordance with hospital record management protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and support staff to facilitate timely imaging and delivery of clinical information.
  • Participate in continued professional development, training sessions, and adherence to industry best practices to enhance service quality.
