Job Description

Job Summary:

The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow, quality repair and maintenance services, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company standards. The role involves managing a team of technicians, mechanics, and service advisors while maintaining profitability and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workshop Operations Management

Plan, organize, and control workshop activities to ensure timely and quality vehicle service and repairs.

Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.

Monitor daily job progress, turnaround time, and delivery schedules.

2. Team Leadership

Supervise and motivate technicians, mechanics, and service advisors.

Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions.

Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed.

3. Customer Service

Ensure excellent customer experience and address complaints effectively.

Coordinate with customers on service progress and delivery updates.

Maintain strong relationships with key clients and fleet owners.

4. Quality Control

Conduct final inspection and quality checks on repaired vehicles.

Ensure compliance with manufacturer service guidelines and safety standards.

Implement continuous improvement processes for service quality.

5. Inventory & Cost Management

Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.

Control workshop expenses and minimize wastage.

Prepare and analyze service performance reports and profitability statements.

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety protocols and cleanliness within the workshop.

Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5–10 years in automobile workshop management or service operations.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

Soft Skills:

Leadership and team management

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Customer service orientation

Time management and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
