WordPress Team lead

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and experienced WordPress Team Leader to manage and lead a team of WordPress developers. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, with strong knowledge of custom themes, plugins, and modern development practices. The candidate should also have the ability to take technical decisions independently in the best interest of the project. Key Responsibilities · Lead and manage a team of WordPress developers, ensuring high-quality and timely project delivery. · Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. · Collaborate with project managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers to deliver complete solutions. · Ensure adherence to coding standards and conduct code reviews. · Plan and prioritize project tasks, manage risks, and monitor progress. · Troubleshoot and debug complex WordPress issues. · Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices. · Create and maintain technical documentation for projects. · Work independently when required and make decisions to support project continuity. Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. · Minimum 5 years of experience in WordPress development. · Strong understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. · Hands-on experience in developing custom themes and plugins. · Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc. · Experience with version control tools such as Git. · Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. · Proven leadership and team management capabilities. Preferred Skills · Knowledge of headless WordPress or REST API integrations. · Experience in mobile-responsive and performance-optimized design. · Understanding of SEO and security best practices for WordPress. · Experience in managing hosting environments and deployment. · Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
