Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented E-commerce Web Developer with hands-on expertise in WordPress and Shopify to drive the digital growth of our furniture company. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our core e-commerce websites and enhancing the online customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- E-commerce Development: Build and maintain responsive, high-quality websites using CMS platforms like Shopify and WordPress (WooCommerce).
- Performance & Optimization: Ensure websites are optimized for Core Web Vitals and site speed, and proactively troubleshoot technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Campaign Landing Pages: Design, develop, and integrate specialized high-converting landing pages for international advertising campaigns (US, UK, UAE, Argentina, India, etc.).
- Platform Customization: Manage, customize, and secure themes and plugins/apps, ensuring they align with the Sandcolour brand and functional needs.
- Integration & APIs: Integrate third-party systems (e.g., shipping carriers, inventory management) and tools like Payment Gateways and Heatmap tracking services.
- Data & Analytics: Implement and manage tracking scripts via Google Analytics/Tag Manager to track user behavior and e-commerce performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Operations teams to translate business requirements into functional and clean web features.
Required Qualifications
Technical & Platform Expertise
- Experience: 2 - 3 years of professional experience as a Web Developer, focusing on e-commerce platforms.
- Core Languages & Tools (Expert Level): Php, Javascript, CSS, HTML, jQuery, MySQL, Shopify Liquid template language, Github, Core Web Vitals Optimization, Landing Page Design & Development, Cpanel, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Heatmap integration to track user behavior.
- E-commerce Platforms: Expert proficiency in Shopify Liquid template language and WordPress/WooCommerce development.
- Code & Hosting: Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and basic administration of cPanel.
- Design & Optimization: Practical experience with Figma (to translate designs into code), Core Web Vitals Optimization, and implementing Payment Gateway Integration.
Soft Skills & Others
- Ability to write clean, efficient, light-weight, and well-documented code.
- Good understanding of SEO best practices.
- Knowledge of setting up and managing tracking tools like Google Analytics/Tag Manager and Heatmap integration.
- Proficiency in both Hindi and English.
Extra Skills (Bonus Points)
- Experience with other platforms like Wix, Webflow, BigCommerce, Vercel.
Knowledge of modern frameworks like Next.js.
