Wordpress Developer

Job Description:

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end development, customization, and maintenance of WordPress websites and applications. You’ll collaborate closely with the design, project management, and development teams to deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly web solutions. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in WordPress along with a working knowledge of Shopify, Laravel, and PrestaShop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Theme & Plugin Development tailored to meet specific business or client requirements.
• Security & Maintenance: Ensure all websites are secure, up-to-date, and protected against vulnerabilities.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-performance WordPress websites.
• Customize existing themes and plugins to align with client goals and design specifications.
• Optimize website performance for speed, scalability, and mobile responsiveness.
• Debug and troubleshoot website issues across multiple browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to create cohesive solutions.
• Ensure best practices in SEO implementation during development.
• Write clean, well-structured, and reusable code with proper documentation.
• Implement integrations using RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Guide and mentor junior developers on WordPress standards and architecture.
• Use Git or other version control tools for code collaboration and tracking.
• Stay current with the latest WordPress updates, trends, and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Strong experience with responsive and cross-browser compatible design.
• Familiar with REST APIs, JSON, and Ajax.
• Experience with Git for version control and code management.
• Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of web security protocols and regular maintenance practices.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with popular page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
• Working knowledge of Shopify, Laravel, and PrestaShop for basic web operations or cross-platform projects.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce and e-commerce development.
• Experience with Bootstrap, Foundation, or similar front-end frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹720,000.00 per year
