Job Description

Job Title: WordPress Backend Developer

Experience Required: 2–7 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Backend Developer to join our web development team. You will be responsible for developing custom plugins, integrating third-party services, and optimizing WordPress performance on the backend.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes.
Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types, and taxonomies.
Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways.
Optimize website performance, security, and scalability.
Handle database design, queries, and migrations using MySQL.
Debug and resolve backend bugs and performance issues.
Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless user experiences.
Maintain code quality, organization, and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

2–7 years of experience in WordPress backend development.
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and RESTful APIs.
Strong experience in custom plugin/theme development.
Familiarity with WordPress coding standards and best practices.
Experience with Git version control.
Strong understanding of security best practices in WordPress.
Experience with performance optimization (caching, database queries, etc.).

Good to Have:

Knowledge of WooCommerce or LMS plugins (like LearnDash).
Familiarity with headless WordPress (REST API, GraphQL).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) for better collaboration.
