WordPress Backend Developer

[Note : Candidate Backend experience is compulsory] Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled WordPress Backend Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP, WordPress core, custom plugin development, and database architecture. You’ll be responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend solutions that power exceptional WordPress websites. Key Responsibilities: Develop custom WordPress plugins, APIs, and back-end components. Customize and optimize existing themes and plugins as per project requirements. Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Write clean, secure, well-documented code following best practices. Ensure performance, security, and scalability of WordPress websites. Troubleshoot and resolve site issues, bugs, and server-side errors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on planning and development. Manage and maintain databases, optimize queries, and create data integrations. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in PHP , MySQL , and WordPress Core architecture Experience with custom plugin development and REST API integrations Familiarity with ACF , WooCommerce , Elementor , and other popular plugins Version control experience (preferably Git ) Understanding of security best practices Experience with WP-CLI , cPanel , or similar hosting tools Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for headless WordPress Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies Experience with performance optimization tools and caching (Redis, Varnish) Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred) Proven work experience as a WordPress Backend Developer (include portfolio or links if possible) How to Apply: Send your resume, and relevant project links to divyangi.spreadmedigital@gmail.com Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹12,183.28 - ₹35,000.00 per month Location Type: In-person Work Location: In person
