Role Purpose:
At Jumio, Window Infrastructure engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organizations Microsoft-based infrastructure to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance. This includes managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and core services such as DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
The role also encompasses the administration and optimization of virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and the use of scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, enhance system efficiency, and support large-scale deployments. The engineer contributes to infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and security initiatives, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. They play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting business continuity, and improving the overall IT infrastructure

Example Role Responsibilities
:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and related services
- Manage and administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Maintain and optimize virtual environments such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or similar scripting languages
- Apply security patches, updates, and configure security settings to protect the infrastructure
- Support backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability
- Manage and integrate Windows infrastructure with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- Deploy, configure, and monitor cloud-based Windows services and virtual machines
- Assist in cloud migration, hybrid cloud setups, and ongoing cloud resource optimization
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes accurately
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior IT staff
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
Relevant Experience and Qualifications :
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise-level Windows Server environments
- Proven experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services
- Strong background in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience in automating administrative tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support hybrid or cloud-integrated infrastructures (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of security best practices, patch management, and access control
- Exposure to backup solutions and disaster recovery planning
- Experience working within ITIL frameworks and change management processes
- Track record of contributing to infrastructure projects, upgrades, and deployments
