Welfare Officer

Key responsibilities:

Labour Welfare & Compliance

 Ensure compliance with labour laws, social compliance standards, and internal

welfare policies.

 Support social compliance audits and implement corrective welfare measures.

 Maintain records and documentation related to welfare and compliance.

Employee Welfare Programs

 Design and implement welfare initiatives to improve employee morale and

productivity.

 Manage welfare facilities including medical care, housing, cafeteria, transportation,

and recreational services.

 Conduct daily inspections of welfare facilities such as canteen, restrooms, crèche,

drinking water, sanitation, washing areas, sitting and changing rooms, dispensary,

ambulance services, first-aid boxes, accommodation, lockers, and other amenities.

Grievance Handling & Industrial Relations

 Handle employee and worker grievances and support timely resolution.

 Establish and maintain harmonious relations between workers and management.

 Negotiate with workers, review complaints, and resolve disputes.

 Monitor absenteeism and support corrective actions to reduce it.

Disciplinary Actions Management

 Support disciplinary actions including issuance of show cause notices, charge sheets,

domestic enquiries, and recommendation of penalties as per policy and past service

records.

 Coordinate meetings of statutory and internal committees such as POSH commitee,

Grievance committee, work committee and canteen committee.
