Role Overview: You will be responsible for performing welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) techniques, ensuring proper settings and gas mixtures are used. Additionally, you will interpret technical documents such as blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to plan welding and assembly operations. Your role will also involve preparing materials by cleaning, cutting, and getting metal surfaces ready for welding. It will be essential for you to set up and maintain equipment, inspect work for quality and compliance, follow safety protocols, collaborate with teams, and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Key Responsibilities: - Perform welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) techniques with proper settings and gas mixtures. - Interpret technical documents like blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders for welding and assembly operations. - Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and getting metal surfaces ready for welding. - Set up welding machines with appropriate settings and perform routine maintenance on equipment. - Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications, making repairs as needed. - Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for a safe work environment. - Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. - Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
