We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Web Developer to manage and enhance our institutional website and related digital platforms. Job Summary: The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, modifying, and maintaining the college website and web applications. The role requires a strong understanding of UI/UX, web standards, responsive design, and backend integration to ensure optimal performance, accessibility, and security. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and update the official SVIST website and affiliated portals. Ensure the website is functional, secure, user-friendly, and up-to-date. Collaborate with academic, administrative, and IT departments to update content (e.g., notices, results, events). Implement responsive web design principles for optimal performance on mobile and desktop devices. Monitor and improve website performance, SEO rankings, and load speeds. Create and manage web-based forms, student portals, or dashboards as required. Perform regular testing and debugging to ensure cross-browser compatibility. Back up files and databases to local directories for disaster recovery. Ensure compliance with government/AICTE/UGC digital mandates and accessibility standards. Troubleshoot issues related to web applications and suggest improvements. Manage hosting, domains, CMS (WordPress or custom), and security certificates. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Proven experience as a web developer (1–3 years preferred). Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap. Experience with back-end technologies: PHP, MySQL, or similar. Knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, etc.).
