Water Engineer

Designation : Water Engineer

Qualification : Master’s in environmental engineering/ BE Civil with CEng/ICE/CSci/CEnv./CIWEM or a MSc/ ME/ M Tech in engineering or any other suitable discipline, Master’s in Hydraulics/ Public Health Engineering or Water resource engineering. Master’s degree holder will be preferred.

Preference. : Experience in Wastewater Treatment, Sewage Treatment or Effluent

Treatment plant or experience in collection systems (sewer networks) or disposal, pipeline design for irrigation projects and pumping systems, water supply and distribution systems, stormwater system design.

Experience : 01-05 Years

Role:

A water engineer is required to system design of pumping systems, pumping stations, pipelines, transmission mains or sewers for the collection of wastewater/ sewage, stormwater system design. He/ she shall work under close supervision of a Senior Engineer.

The selected candidate shall perform engineering functions requiring knowledge and experience in the water sector including water supply or wastewater or stormwater or irrigation.

Skills required:

• Ability to interact with Clients to understand project requirements and communicate
• to the team.
• Manage Client expectations and support technical team with information needed.
• Interact and manage various stakeholders including third party teams (surveyors/
• testing agencies etc) and deliver the expected outcomes in a format needed by the
• Client under contractual obligations.
• Ability to perform design and analysis of Water/ Wastewater systems for Detailed
• Project Report (DPR) or for Detailed design stage and develop drawings as per
• contractual requirements. Knowledge of relevant software for analysis of conveyance
• systems (WaterGems/ excel sheets etc) will be an added advantage.
• Ability to identify gaps in knowledge and seek help from Senior Engineers to learn or
• adapt to new skills that may be needed to deliver the job.
• Meet clients for exploring new business opportunity support proposal team to –
• Identify scope of work to be delivered
• Contribute to actively quantify efforts needed to develop a price proposal, if
• needed
• Coordinate with proposal team, make introductions to clients, help develop
• presentations for client and seeking new business opportunities
• Manage clients where expectations of client are not being met and support
• Seniors in managing issues with client
