Job Description

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a key role in financial management, compliance, and strategic planning. The person will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, providing insights into financial performance, and advising on financial strategies to enhance the organization's overall success.

Key & Financial Operations

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure proper ledger scrutiny and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support in preparing and analyzing Profit & Loss statements and other financial reports.

Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns (GST, TDS, etc.).
  • Assist in Transfer Pricing documentation and compliance as required.
  • Liaise with tax consultants for assessments, notices, and audits.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.

Financial Reporting & Audit Support

  • Prepare schedules, documentation, and reconciliations for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in preparation of MIS reports and management dashboards.
  • Handle ad-hoc reporting requirements as requested by management or investors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • CA (Qualified) with experience in the pharmacovigilance or pharmaceutical/life sciences industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance.
  • Prior exposure to Transfer Pricing (TP) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Tally and Microsoft Excel (Advanced Excel skills are a must).
  • Exposure to tools like Zoho, QuickBooks, or SAP is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Startup or regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
